My name is Josh and I am a professional guitar tutor teaching students in Cambridge and throughout Cambridgeshire.
I teach guitar to individuals of all ages, with the main focus on rock, pop, and indie styles of music, as well as covering the basics of many other genres, so you’ll be playing the music you love in no time.
I have a wide range of teaching experience and live performing experience which I will use to make sure your lessons are of the highest standard.
My lessons are currently available in half hour or hour long sessions. I would recommend taking lessons once per week for the best results.

I am a mobile guitar teacher, so will travel to you to provide guitar lessons in the comfort of your own home. I have found that students learn well within the comfort of their own homes, helping my pupils build confidence as well as vocal strength and ability.
I have experience teaching all ages & because of this I would recommend starting to learn from ages 10 and above.
Absolutely not. I personally do not teach grades. Though I do appreciate why some people like following a grading system, I don’t think it’s essential, and personally prefer to teach in a way that focuses more on helping you play in the way that’s best suited to you as an individual. Ultimately, I want to teach you to play the guitar really well without having the added stress of exams.
Yes! Most people who think they are tone deaf actually aren’t, they just lack the training and practice needed to help them hear things in music. I have found that the more I play of a particular instrument, the easier I find it to pick those parts out of songs. This is essentially a fancy way of saying ‘practice makes perfect’.
